Safari Tent Camping on the Sapphire Coast

Safari Tent Camping on the Sapphire Coast

One of the best discoveries I made last year was the Tanja Lagoon Camp.

I'd been dying to go Glamping for ages and after much internet trawling, I found a wicked list with lots of great recommendations. Many looked a bit standard I was intrigued by what I read about the Tanja Lagoon Camp. One of the WOM Book team members had always said her favourite place in NSW was the Sapphire Coast. I have been to Jervis Bay (roughly 3 hours from Sydney), many times and loved it. I had yet to venture much further South. Well, what a discovery!

The Sapphire Coast is undeniably beautiful. It's about 5/6 hours drive South from Sydney. You have pristine massive golden & yellow beaches. It's a foodies paradise being a big farming community there is the most amazing produce here. On the Victorian border and close to places such as Eden you do feel in heaven.

We stayed at the Tanja Lagoon Camp. They are eco-friendly tents some with baths some without, there are only about 5 so it's not too crowded. You are nestled away in a little part of paradise. Close by are lots of amazing beaches you go down dirt tracks to get to. They are some of the most beautiful and empty beaches I have seen in Australia.

You can honestly do this trip with three days and make it really fun and see a lot. The Word of Mouth Guide has all the top tips to make the most of this trip and know where to stop on the South Coast! Message us if you have any questions or want more details.
